In practice

Artworks delivered to a London address — Vault registry documentation travels with the shipment — London delivery. The condition report and customs paperwork in Vault travel with the shipment. The buyer in London sees the same registry the Cape Town gallery does.

Is Vault free?

Yes. Vault is a free digital registry provided by JLog to clients who store items with us. There is no subscription fee — you pay only for the physical storage and logistics services you use.

Do I have to ship with JLog to use it?

You need to store items with JLog to use Vault's off-site tracking features. You can, however, register an account immediately and begin building your digital inventory — items stored elsewhere are tracked as on-site or owner-held items.

Is my collection data private?

All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Your inventory and documents are private to your account. JLog staff can only view items that are physically in JLog's care. We do not sell or share your collection data.

Can I export my records?

Your records and any attached documents are accessible from your dashboard from any browser. Branded PDF inventory reports are available under Vault Pro.

What is Vault Pro?

Vault Pro adds branded inventory reports and client portals for interior designers, art advisors, and gallery managers who maintain items on behalf of clients. It is in development — join the list and we will be in touch.
