SARS retired the TC01 (Traveller Card) on 1 July 2026 and replaced it with two new documents submitted through the SARS Traveller Management System (SATMS):

TD-01 — Traveller Declaration  ·  General entry/exit declaration for every traveller
TGD1 — Traveller Goods Declaration  ·  Required when carrying goods above the duty-free allowance

What do I use instead of the TC01?

Is the TC01 still accepted at the border?

No. The TC01 was formally retired on 1 July 2026. Customs officers no longer accept or stamp it. Use the SATMS online portal instead.
