What's the minimum order volume?
We ship for brands doing anywhere from 30 to 5,000+ orders a month. You pay only for the orders we actually pack and dispatch, plus storage for the stock you have on our shelves.
How long does onboarding take?
Typically 5–10 business days from signed quote to first shipped order. That covers Shopify or WooCommerce API connection, stock receipt and shelving, photo and SKU verification, and a first test order to confirm the integration end-to-end.
Do you handle international shipping?
Yes. JLog holds direct accounts with both FedEx and DHL, so we ship internationally without a middle-man markup. Delivery is typically 3–7 working days. We handle commercial invoices and customs paperwork in-house. See the full guide to international e-commerce shipping from South Africa.
Can you do custom branded packaging?
Yes. You can supply branded boxes, mailers, tissue, stickers, thank-you cards, and inserts. We will hold them on shelf and apply them per order to your spec. Most brands send us a packing playbook with photos so the unboxing is consistent.
How do returns work?
Returns are received, inspected on arrival, photographed if there is damage, and either restocked, quarantined, or returned to you depending on your written policy. You get a daily returns summary in your inbox.
What if my Shopify store isn't in Cape Town?
It doesn't matter where you are based. We ship to all major South African cities through Bob Go's 11-courier network, picking the best rate and transit time per order automatically. National transit times are typically 1–3 business days.
How fast can you dispatch?
Orders placed and paid before 1pm (Monday to Friday) are dispatched the same day. Orders after 1pm are dispatched the next working day. Cape Town deliveries usually arrive next business day.
Can you handle fragile and high-value items?
Yes. JLog's roots are in white-glove logistics for fine art and luxury goods, and we are the official carrier for the Investec Cape Town Art Fair. We carry insurance for high-value stock and follow specialist packing and crating protocols for ceramics, glass, and electronics.
Do you integrate with Etsy?
Yes — JLog integrates directly with Etsy. Orders sync automatically from your Etsy shop into our picking queue, and we dispatch from our Woodstock fulfilment centre on the same day-of-dispatch terms as Shopify and WooCommerce. Customs documentation for Etsy international orders is handled in-house. No contracts, no minimums — you pay for what we pick, pack and dispatch.
What happens if I want to leave?
Fulfilment runs month-to-month with 30 days' notice — no lock-in. When an account ends, we pack out your remaining stock onto your transport at cost. We keep the door open. Most brands that leave end up referring others back to us.
