Crystal drops and decorative arms are individually wrapped in acid-free tissue paper first (to prevent chemical damage), then bubble wrap. Wiring is carefully labelled and coiled. No component is forced—we work methodically and take time to avoid damage during disassembly.
- Custom crating: We don’t use off-the-shelf boxes. Each chandelier is measured precisely, and a custom crate is built or configured to its exact dimensions. Divided sections separate drops, arms, and the main body. Internal padding is foam or acid-free paper—never materials that can react with glass or metal finishes.
- Dedicated transport: Crystal can crack if exposed to rapid temperature changes, so crates are kept out of direct sunlight and rain. In transit, the chandelier stays protected on its own dedicated vehicle, never share-loaded with other freight.
- Reinstallation coordination: JLog is not an electrical contractor—we don’t install chandeliers ourselves. However, we coordinate closely with your electrician or the installation team at the destination. We deliver the chandelier and all components to the installer. We verify nothing is missing and that the fixture is ready for professional reconnection.

How do you pack crystal drops?
Each crystal drop is individually wrapped in acid-free tissue paper first (to protect against chemical reaction with standard wrapping), then gently bubble-wrapped. Drops are stored in divided foam compartments within the custom crate so they can’t shift or knock against each other during transit. We never stack drops or compress them.
What does it cost to move a chandelier?

Do you reinstall chandeliers?
JLog does not perform electrical installation—this must be done by a licensed electrician. However, we coordinate closely with your electrician or the installer at the destination. We deliver the fully disassembled chandelier and all components. We verify everything has arrived intact and is ready for professional reconnection. Many clients arrange their electrician before we arrive; we work alongside them to ensure smooth installation.
How do you protect crystal and glass during transport?
Crystal and glass are individually wrapped in acid-free tissue (never plastic wrap, which can damage finishes), then bubble-wrapped. The crate is custom-fitted with foam dividers to prevent movement. The crate travels inside our own enclosed vehicle, never exposed to direct sunlight or rain.
Can you store a chandelier while I renovate?
Yes. After disassembly and crating, chandeliers can be stored in our ambient Woodstock warehouse for as long as you need—weeks or months. This is common during renovations when the ceiling or electrical system is being replaced. Storage is charged at a daily rate. Contact us for storage pricing.

Size and design complexity don’t stop us—they just require more careful planning. Oversized chandeliers, those with particularly delicate arms, or custom European fixtures are assessed in person.
