You use it as your delivery address when buying from South African online stores. The company receives your parcels, can combine several into one, and forwards them to your home country — which is how shoppers reach brands that don't offer international delivery.
This matters because most South African retailers don't ship internationally, and the ones that do often charge far more than a consolidated forward. South Africa is a growing online-retail market — valued at roughly R71 billion in 2025 and growing more than 20% a year (World Wide Worx, 2025) — yet much of that catalogue is locked to local delivery only. For international courier, 3 kg of size is roughly a 33 × 33 × 14 cm box — about a shoebox and a half. That's around 2–3 folded jumpers, 3–4 pairs of shoes, or 6–8 well-wrapped ceramic mugs.
* Chargeable weight is the greater of your parcel's actual weight and its size-based (volumetric) weight. Logistics providers always bill on whichever is higher, so a large but light box can cost more than its scale weight suggests. Final figure is confirmed on the actual parcel at our Cape Town warehouse.

Yes — every parcel that arrives at our Cape Town warehouse is received, checked for condition, weighed, and photographed before we log it into the system. You can see the photos before deciding whether to forward.
Prohibited (cannot ship): hazardous materials (lithium batteries, flammable liquids, explosives), and counterfeit goods. Restricted (permit required before shipping): goods containing CITES-regulated materials such as certain exotic woods, furs, or coral; items over 100 years old that qualify as cultural property under South African heritage law; and wine or alcohol, which requires an SA export licence. If you’re unsure about a specific item, ask us before you order — we can usually check quickly.
For consolidated shipments, typically 48 hours from when you confirm you’re ready to ship. Single-parcel forwarding is usually dispatched same-day or next-day. Once dispatched, delivery takes 4–6 business days on Priority or 7–10 business days on Economy, subject to destination customs.

Yes, insurance is optional. The premium is 2.1% of (goods value + courier cost + 10%). The excess is R2,500 per claim. Worked example: goods worth R10,000 + courier cost R2,000 = R12,000; add 10% = R13,200; premium = 2.1% × R13,200 = R277.20. Because of the R2,500 excess, insurance mainly makes sense for goods worth well above R2,500.
