Most logistics is transactional. Ours is personal. A real person who knows your business, your clients, and your deadlines.
In 2026, most logistics interactions are frictionless but impersonal. You log in to a platform, get a rate, print a label, and hope for the best. When something goes wrong—a shipment held at customs, a fragile piece damaged in transit, a client waiting for delivery—you’re in a queue with a reference number and no one’s account.
JLog works differently. Every client gets a dedicated account manager. One person. One number. One person who learns your business and stays accountable.
Your account manager spends time understanding your product types, your typical destinations, your peak periods, your fragility requirements, and your clients’ expectations. This is not automation—it’s expertise. They know what questions to ask before something becomes a problem.
Is that address incomplete? Does that destination have specific import restrictions? Is the declared value inconsistent with typical orders? Your account manager catches these before your shipment leaves our warehouse, not after your client calls you.
Customs holds, documentation gaps, carrier delays, port congestion—your account manager manages these on your behalf. You get a call with a solution, not a forwarded message from another agent explaining the problem.
Not every shipment suits the same carrier. Your account manager understands which courier handles fragile goods well, which specialises in time-sensitive deliveries, which offers the best international rates to your key destinations. One-size-fits-all doesn’t work.
Your account manager calls you, not the other way around. A delay? You hear from us first. A tracking exception? We’ve already investigated. Your client is waiting for delivery news? We send you the update before your client asks.
Your account manager monitors your orders as they come in. They flag anything unusual—an address that looks wrong, a package weight that doesn’t match its contents, a destination with specific restrictions—before the shipment leaves the warehouse.
When you have a surge in orders (a seasonal peak, a new campaign launch), your account manager anticipates the volume and coordinates with our operations team. You don’t have to manage us; we manage ourselves.
Your account manager knows your clients by name. When a piece is en route to a collector in Johannesburg, they’re tracking it. When there’s a delay, they call the collector—or better yet, they call you first so you’re not blindsided.
For international orders, your account manager manages the entire journey. A painting to London, a bespoke chair to New York, a sculpture to Dubai—they coordinate with freight forwarders, manage customs documentation, and ensure your client receives their piece in perfect condition, on time.
Your account manager knows your suppliers and your supply chain. When your container from Milan is released at Cape Town port, they’re on it. When customs has a documentation query, they coordinate the response. You don’t find out about holds from your supplier or your client—you find out from JLog, and we’ve already started solving it.
For regular imports, your account manager builds a rhythm. They understand your typical lead times, your seasonal patterns, and your cost sensitivity. Over time, they negotiate better rates and identify opportunities to consolidate shipments and reduce costs.

Yes. Your account manager is assigned to your account. If they’re unavailable on a specific day, a colleague will assist, but your primary contact remains the same. Continuity is the entire point.
Standard business hours, Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:30 SAST. For urgent issues outside these hours (a shipment held at the airport, a customs emergency), you have a phone number to reach our operations team.
If they’re on leave or otherwise unavailable, a backup account manager takes over. Your account details, your preferences, and your shipping history are documented, so there’s no loss of context. We don’t leave you in limbo.
Contact us directly. We’ll discuss your business, your typical shipments, and your goals. Within one business day, we’ll assign your account manager and schedule a call to set up your account.
Dedicated account management is included with all our shipping services. We don’t charge extra for what should be the baseline for any professional logistics partner. Your account manager’s salary is built into our pricing.
