Clothing & Apparel Fulfilment Cape Town — Fashion Brand 3PL

JLog provides clothing and apparel fulfilment for Cape Town fashion brands from our Woodstock warehouse. We integrate with Shopify and WooCommerce, manage size and colour variants, handle branded packaging, and dispatch orders same-day for orders received before 13:00. South African fashion brands ranging from emerging designers to established labels outsource their fulfilment to JLog so they can focus on design, production, and sales — not packing boxes.

Month-to-month terms with no lock-in — we ring-fence space for your seasonal ranges and price you below ad-hoc rates. Pay per activity. Call us: 021 300 6099.

Why Fashion Brands Choose a 3PL for Fulfilment

Clothing and apparel is the most complex e-commerce category to fulfil yourself. A single product — a t-shirt — can have 30 or more SKUs when you account for size (XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL) and colour (black, white, navy, stone). A return for the wrong size requires receiving, inspection, restocking, and re-dispatch. Branded packaging — tissue paper, stickers, custom boxes — takes time and storage space. At 50 orders a day, fashion fulfilment is a full-time job that pulls the founder away from the business.

South Africa’s online fashion market grew to an estimated R12.4 billion in 2024, making it the largest e-commerce product category in the country (Source: World Wide Worx, 2025). The fastest-growing segment is independent fashion labels selling direct-to-consumer via Shopify — bypassing Takealot and keeping 15–20% commission in their own margin.

According to Gerrit Dyman, Managing Director of JLog: “Fashion brands typically come to us after they have outgrown their garage or spare room. The moment you have more than two people whose only job is packing orders, it is time to outsource. We can do it faster, cheaper per unit, and with better brand presentation than most brands can manage in-house.”

How JLog Fashion Fulfilment Works

  1. Send your stock to Woodstock. Deliver your clothing stock to Unit 12C, Nearby Industrial Park, 10 Railway Street, Woodstock, Cape Town. We receive, count, barcode-scan, and shelve every unit. You have real-time visibility of your inventory at app.jlog.co.za from the moment stock arrives.
  2. Connect your Shopify or WooCommerce store. We integrate directly via API — no plugins, no manual exports. When a customer places an order on your store, it appears in our warehouse system automatically within minutes. Size, colour, quantity, shipping address — all transferred without any manual input.
  3. We pick and pack every order. Our warehouse team picks the correct size and colour, folds or rolls garments to your specification, wraps in tissue, packs in your branded box or mailer, and prints your branded packing slip. We follow your brand’s packaging guidelines exactly.
  4. Same-day dispatch before 13:00. Orders received before 13:00 Monday to Friday are handed to the courier the same day. Bob Go’s system selects the fastest and most cost-effective courier for the delivery address — from 11 domestic options including Courier Guy, Fastway, and Dawn Wing.
  5. Tracking updates go directly to your customer. Once dispatched, the tracking number is automatically pushed back to your Shopify or WooCommerce order. Your customer gets the tracking update — you do not have to do anything.
  6. Returns come back to us. When a customer initiates a return, the garment comes back to our warehouse. We inspect it, confirm condition, restock it if sellable or quarantine it if damaged, and update your inventory. Returns management is included in our service.

Variant Management — Size and Colour Matrices

Variant management is where most general fulfilment providers struggle with fashion. A t-shirt in 6 sizes and 5 colours is 30 individual SKUs. A dress in 4 sizes and 8 prints is 32 SKUs. At scale — 50+ products — that is thousands of individual stock-keeping units to track, pick correctly, and reorder in time.

JLog’s warehouse management system handles variant-level stock tracking from day one:

Garment Handling Standards

JLog treats every garment with the same care as the brands whose clothing we handle. Our standard garment handling protocol:

Returns Management for Fashion Brands

Return rates for online fashion typically run at 15–25% — higher than any other e-commerce category (Source: Shopify Commerce Trends, 2025). Managing returns badly costs you customers. Managing them well builds loyalty. JLog handles the full returns process:

Branded Packaging Options for Fashion Brands

Packaging is part of your brand experience — especially in fashion, where the unboxing moment is shared on social media. JLog works with whatever packaging you supply or source. You can also ask us to order on your behalf from local packaging suppliers we work with. Standard options:

Frequently Asked Questions — Fashion Brand Fulfilment

Q: Can JLog handle a fashion brand with 500+ SKUs?
A: Yes. Our warehouse management system is built for high-SKU brands. We have worked with fashion clients with 200–800+ active SKUs including size/colour variants. The key requirement on your side is clean Shopify or WooCommerce SKU data — one unique code per variant. We provide an onboarding template to set this up correctly if needed.

Q: What happens when a customer orders the wrong size?
A: The customer ships the item back to our Woodstock address. We receive it, inspect it, and restock it if in sellable condition. We then pack and dispatch the correct size as a new outbound order. The exchange process is logged in our system and reported to you. Depending on your returns policy, you can set rules for who covers the return shipping cost.

Q: Does JLog handle seasonal stock surges — like Black Friday or launch days?
A: Yes. Our warehouse capacity and courier integrations are built for volume spikes. For planned events like Black Friday or a product launch, we ask for advance notice of expected volume so we can roster the right number of staff. We handled the Investec Cape Town Art Fair logistics — 700+ individual artworks in 10 days — which is considerably more complex than a fashion volume surge.

Q: Can I send new season stock in batches throughout the year?
A: Yes. You can send stock at any time — new season arrivals, restocks, or new product launches. Each delivery is booked in advance via a simple inbound booking form. We receive, count, photograph, barcode-scan, and shelve your stock on arrival day or the following business day.

Q: Do I need to use JLog’s packaging or can I use my own?
A: You use your own packaging. JLog does not impose generic packaging on any client. You supply your branded boxes, mailers, tissue, stickers, or cards and we store them at the warehouse and use them for every order. We will tell you approximately how much packaging you need to keep in stock based on your order volumes.

Q: What is JLog’s pricing for fashion fulfilment?
A: We charge on a per-activity basis: receiving (per unit), storage (per cubic metre per month), pick-and-pack (per order), and outbound courier (at cost). There are no monthly management fees, and we ring-fence space for your ranges — on month-to-month terms. A typical fashion brand at 100 orders per month pays less per order in total logistics cost than they would managing it themselves, once time is factored in.
