- Receive your Amazon orders via CSV export from Seller Central (manual forwarding)
- Pick, pack, and label each order same day (before 11am cutoff)
- Ship via 11+ couriers through Bob Go rate-shopping for best price and speed
- Provide tracking numbers you upload back to Amazon Seller Central
- Handle returns at our warehouse — inspect, restock, or dispose per your rules
What We Can and Cannot Do
What JLog does NOT do (yet)
We do not currently have Amazon SP-API integration. Orders are not automatically pulled from Amazon. You need to export your orders from Seller Central and forward them to us (CSV or email). We are evaluating API integration for future release.
Amazon FBA
Amazon stores and ships for you from their own warehouse. You lose control of packaging and inserts. FBA fees apply. Amazon handles customer service for FBA orders. Currently limited availability in SA.
JLog (Merchant-Fulfilled)
You handle your own shipping through JLog. Custom packaging, branded inserts, and full control of the customer experience. Lower fees for many product categories. You handle customer service.
What You Need to Sell on Amazon SA
Business Registration
You need a valid South African business registration (CIPC) or sole proprietor registration. Amazon requires this during seller account setup.
South African Bank Account
Amazon SA pays sellers in ZAR to a South African bank account. You’ll need to provide banking details during seller registration.
South African Address
A physical address in South Africa is required. This can be your business address or your 3PL’s warehouse address (JLog can provide this).
Product Compliance
Products must meet Amazon’s listing standards and any applicable South African regulations (NRCS, SABS). Certain categories require approval (e.g. supplements, electronics).
Shipping SLAs
Merchant-fulfilled sellers must meet Amazon’s shipping and delivery time commitments. JLog’s same-day dispatch helps you meet these targets consistently.
Tax Compliance
You must be VAT registered if your turnover exceeds R1 million per year. Amazon collects marketplace VAT on certain transactions, but you remain responsible for your own tax compliance.
Common Questions
Can JLog fulfil Amazon SA orders?
Yes, for merchant-fulfilled orders. If you handle your own shipping on Amazon SA (not FBA), JLog stores your stock, picks and packs orders, and ships same day from Cape Town.
Do I need an Amazon API connection?
Not yet. You forward your Amazon SA orders to JLog via CSV export from Seller Central. We are evaluating Amazon SP-API integration for automatic order import in future.
How much does it cost?
Storage from R250 per unit per month, dropping to R200 at volume. Pick and pack R15 per order (first item) + R5 per extra item. Shipping rates depend on destination and parcel size. No setup fees, no long-term contracts.
Can JLog provide an address for Amazon Seller Central?
Yes. You can use our Cape Town warehouse address as your business/shipping address in Amazon Seller Central. This is a common setup for merchant-fulfilled sellers using a 3PL.
What about international Amazon orders?
If you sell on Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk from South Africa, JLog can also handle international shipping via DHL and FedEx, including customs documentation and export paperwork.
