One connection. Complete automation.
This is not a shipping platform. Platforms give you discounted rates and a label. We give you a warehouse, a team, and a dedicated account manager.
Why Shopify Brands Choose JLog
Most e-commerce logistics companies treat all parcels the same. We don’t. We specialise in fragile and high-value goods — the products that standard couriers damage.
Specialist Packing
Art prints, ceramics, homeware, jewellery, glassware. These need tissue, bubble wrap, custom inserts, and the right-sized box. We know the difference.
Lower Breakage
Proper packing means fewer damaged goods, fewer returns, fewer refunds, happier customers. Your margins improve.
Better Reviews
When customers open a well-packed parcel, they notice. Five-star unboxing experiences drive repeat purchases and word-of-mouth.
Account Manager
You have a dedicated person at JLog who knows your products, your volumes, and your peaks. Not a chatbot. A human.
Local and International Dispatch
Based at 10 Railway Street, Woodstock, Cape Town. We handle:
- Cape Town: Same-day and next-day delivery. Local courier partners, tracked.
- South Africa: National overnight service via established courier networks. Reliable, insured.
- International: Air freight worldwide, except sanctioned destinations. Export customs clearance, HS code classification, landed cost calculation. Door-to-door service.
All managed from one fulfilment centre. One point of contact. Transparent tracking end-to-end.
Beyond Shipping Rates
Self-service shipping platforms are cheap because they offer nothing except discounted rates and a label. You still pack. You still manage returns. You still chase suppliers when stock runs low.
JLog is a complete outsourced fulfilment operation.
JLog stores ambient stock in-house, arranges refrigerated transport through specialist carriers, and clears temperature-sensitive imports through SARS customs.
- Warehouse space for your stock
- Pick and pack team (trained in fragile goods)
- Inventory management and reporting
- Returns handling and disposition
- Dedicated account manager
- Monthly performance reports
The total cost is often lower than you expect when you factor in your own time, warehouse rent, packaging materials, and breakage rates. Many Shopify brands find that outsourcing pays for itself within 90 days.

From: 3Pl Vs Self Fulfilment South Africa
A straightforward guide to help you decide when to stay in-house and when to outsource — based on volume, cost, and the time you’re losing.
At 100 orders/month, a 3PL typically reduces your monthly fulfilment cost meaningfully — and hands back roughly 40 hours of your time. The higher your order volume, the greater the saving. Request a quote for your numbers.
Self-fulfilment hits a ceiling fast. If you’re packing 100 orders/month and you want to grow to 300/month, you need to pack more orders yourself or hire someone to do it. That’s a structural cost increase.
With a 3PL, growth is seamless. 200 orders/month? No problem. 500 orders/month? No problem. You scale without hiring additional staff or renting more space. The 3PL scales with you.
Very early stage (under 30 orders/month). You’re not losing enough time to justify the cost. Keep it simple.
Where the maker’s involvement is part of the brand story. Some artisan brands build their story around “made by hand by [founder].” In that case, hand-packing can be a brand feature, not a cost. (But note: this doesn’t scale beyond about 30–40 orders/month without burning you out.)
