Pricing depends on the piece’s size, fragility, distance, and the level of protection required. A simple blanket-wrapped move of a sturdy dining table might be considerably less than a custom-crated transport of a delicate Regency writing desk. We always provide a detailed quote after assessing your specific items.
Yes. We build plywood export crates for international shipping; plywood is exempt from ISPM 15. We work with customs brokers and freight forwarders to manage the full logistics chain, though for international moves beyond a certain value, you may prefer a specialist fine art shipper. We’ll advise honestly.
Fragile condition often requires more careful handling, not less. We assess the state of joints, veneers, and structural integrity and adjust our approach accordingly. Sometimes that means additional padding. Sometimes it means building a custom crate. We’ll never move a piece we don’t think we can move safely.
