What We Store
Our Woodstock warehouse takes the full range of commercial goods — from a handful of pallets between import shipments to overflow inventory during peak season. If it ships on a pallet, we can hold it.
- Palletised goods — general cargo, boxed stock, equipment
- Cartons and loose boxes — on rack or floor, counted in and out
- E-commerce inventory — held for pick-and-pack dispatch (see on-site services below)
- Cargo awaiting clearance or distribution — hold it here while paperwork clears, then dispatch directly
- Overflow and seasonal stock — scale up in Q4, scale back in Q1, no penalty

Flexible by Design — No Leases, No Minimums
Standard warehouse leases lock you into a fixed unit for a fixed term. JLog works differently: you pay per pallet position per week, scale up or down as your needs change, and give us notice when you are done. No lease to negotiate, no penalty for using less space than expected, and no commitment to a full warehouse unit when you only need three pallets for six weeks.
A standard pallet position handles goods up to 1.2m × 1m × 1.5m high. If your cargo does not fill a full pallet, we can accommodate carton-level storage — ask when you enquire.

Clear Customs and Go Straight Into Storage — One Company
When your shipment arrives at the Port of Cape Town, the clock starts on port storage charges. Every day your cargo sits waiting costs money. JLog is a licensed SARS clearing agent and warehouse operator under one roof, based in Woodstock — minutes from the port. We clear your import, move your cargo directly into our facility, and start the storage clock on our terms, not the terminal’s.

On-Site Services
Storage is the starting point. Most clients also need at least one of the following — all handled in-house by the same team:
- Receiving and intake — we count and check your cargo on arrival and notify you when stock lands
- In/out handling — included; you are not charged separately for placing or retrieving pallets
- Repacking and relabelling — repackage to retail requirements, add barcodes, relabel for a different market
- Dispatch to anywhere in South Africa — we hand to courier or arrange delivery direct from our Woodstock facility

Pricing — published monthly rates
Pallet storage is charged per pallet per month. The rate steps down automatically as your volume grows — all rates are VAT-inclusive.

Rates include in/out handling. Receiving, retrieval coordination, and any special handling (pallets that need racking, unstable loads) are quoted on request.
Example cost calculation
12 pallets stored for 6 weeks:
R250 × 12 pallets × 1.5 months = R4,500 total (VAT incl.)
At 21+ pallets the rate steps down to R220; at 61+ pallets to R200. Long-term storage at volume is priced on request.
Managed warehouse — not self-access storage
JLog is a managed warehouse, not a self-access facility. This is an important distinction:
- You do not come to the warehouse to pick items yourself. All stock movements are performed by our team on a dispatch instruction from you.
- Retrieval is by instruction. Send us a pick list or dispatch order (via email, WhatsApp, or your platform integration) and we pick, pack, and dispatch it — or stage it for your collection vehicle.
- Access to view your stock can be arranged by appointment for stock counts, returns inspections, or quality checks. We ask for 24 hours’ notice.
- Inventory visibility is real time at my.jlog.co.za, so you can check stock levels and movements without needing to visit.
If you need self-access storage — where you arrive, unlock, and retrieve stock yourself — JLog is not the right fit. If you need a managed 3PL partner who picks and ships on your instruction, we are.
