A dedicated trip is a JLog vehicle and crew booked for your goods alone. We collect, drive straight to the delivery address and carry the goods in. Nothing goes through a depot or shares space with anyone else’s freight, On the road, only your crew handles your goods.
It suits furniture, art and other fragile or high-value goods, bulky items a courier won’t take, multi-stop runs, and anything that has to arrive on a set day.

Packing and storage in Woodstock
Everything starts at our warehouse in Woodstock, so we can pack, crate or hold your goods before the trip.
Crating and packing
Our own crating workshop builds standard crates in 1 to 3 working days, from R1,500. Ideal for art and fragile pieces going to the coast.
Storage until the trip
Hold goods with us until the delivery date, from R250 per pallet a month. Handy when a coastal house isn’t ready yet.

Yes. We drive dedicated trips from Cape Town to Kleinmond, Hermanus, Stanford, Gansbaai and Swellendam, and along the N2 to Mossel Bay, George, Wilderness, Sedgefield, Knysna and Plettenberg Bay.
How far are Knysna and Plettenberg Bay from Cape Town?
By road from our warehouse in Woodstock, Cape Town, it is 116 km to Hermanus, 388 km to Mossel Bay, 430 km to George, 486 km to Knysna and 519 km to Plettenberg Bay. Knysna is about 6 hours’ driving and Plettenberg Bay about 6½ hours.
Who loads and carries the goods?
Every trip comes with a driver and a helper. They load and strap your goods in Cape Town and carry them in and place them at the delivery address.
Are my goods insured in transit?
JLog carries goods-in-transit insurance. Ask us for the details when you book a dedicated trip.
Can you pack or crate goods before the trip?
Yes. We build crates in our own workshop in Woodstock, usually in 1 to 3 working days, from R1,500. We can also store goods until the delivery date.
Do you rent out vans?
No. We don’t rent out vehicles. Every trip is driven by our own crew in our own vehicle.
Can I book a regular weekly or monthly route?
Yes. You can book a fixed route every week or month, and scale a monthly route up or down with 30 days’ notice.
